It's not "A Bier Garten", It's "The Beer Garden!!"

The Beer Garden is a local bar in the Westerleigh section of Staten Island, NY.  It is owned and operated by Jerry Poyntz. \

His version of a beer garden came from his Aunt Lil. When Jerry was in his early teens, he would call looking for his cousin, Sean. He was told he wasn't home and that he was probably at the beer garden. Jerry was 15 and didn't know what the heck a beer garden was. When his Aunt stopped laughing at him, she explained it was the local bar down the street.

Although his aunt's version of a beer garden is different from an authentic bier garten, her version is the one he grew up with, and also the one he wanted to name his bar after if he ever owned one.  In 2002, Jerry's dream came true. And even though you will not find any open-air areas to drink in, you will find a very comfortable environment to eat, drink and watch your favorite sports team. 

You can choose from the 12 different beers on tap, one of the over 20 bottle beers or a variety of mixed drinks from the bar, including some of our own specialty drinks. The food menu has something for everyone featuring appetizers, fresh salads and homemade soups, over 15 types of burgers, specialty pizzas, pastas, open faced platters, a wide variety of sandwich's and wraps....and even a kids menu. Oh yeah, and don't forget your favorite game on our large flat screen televisions.
